Thesis Title: “Communication Strategies for Preventing Gadget Dependency Among Children at Al-Fattah Kindergarten, Palangka Raya City.” Supervised by: Dr. Aquarini, S.Sos., M.I.Kom. This study aims to describe the communication strategies employed by teachers in preventing gadget dependency among early childhood students at Al-Fattah Kindergarten, Palangka Raya City. The background of this research stems from the increasing use of gadgets among children, which affects their behavior, social interaction, and cognitive development. This research adopts a qualitative method with data collection techniques including in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The findings indicate that teachers apply three main communication strategies: informative, persuasive, and educative strategies. The informative strategy is carried out by providing children and parents with an understanding of the negative impacts of excessive gadget use. The persuasive strategy is implemented through encouragement, motivation, and interpersonal approaches to make children more interested in direct play activities. Meanwhile, the educative strategy is reflected in the use of engaging learning media and activities that stimulate creativity to divert children from gadget dependency. In addition, collaboration between teachers and parents plays an important role in the success of prevention efforts. Overall, the communication strategies implemented by teachers at Al-Fattah Kindergarten have proven effective in reducing gadget dependency among children and supporting their optimal development Keywords: Communication Strategies, Gadget Dependency, Early Childhood, Teachers, Education 4aSKRIPSI a2112024160 a2112024160
